By creating an account or using RackPlane ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these terms.
RackPlane provides a control plane for managing heterogeneous infrastructure. The Service includes a web dashboard, REST API, and a lightweight agent that runs on your servers. RackPlane does not provide compute, storage, or network infrastructure — it manages infrastructure you provision from third-party providers.
To protect our customers and maintain the security of the platform, RackPlane requires identity verification for all accounts. You agree to the following verification requirements:
We may use automated risk-scoring systems to determine whether additional verification steps are required. These systems evaluate signals such as IP reputation, registration patterns, and other factors to protect our customers from fraud and abuse.
Verification data (email, phone number, mailing address) is stored securely and used solely for identity verification and account security purposes. See our Privacy Policy for details on data handling.
Accounts that fail to complete required verification steps will have limited access to the Service until verification is complete. RackPlane reserves the right to suspend accounts that provide false or misleading verification information.
You agree not to use the Service to:
RackPlane manages servers that you own or lease. You are solely responsible for:
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law. We may change pricing with 30 days' notice. Free trials do not require a credit card and automatically expire at the end of the trial period.
If payment fails, we will notify you and provide a grace period before suspending access to paid features. Your data will not be deleted due to billing issues for at least 30 days.
You retain all rights to your data. RackPlane does not claim ownership of any data you store, transmit, or process through the Service. We access your data only to provide the Service and as described in our Privacy Policy.
We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The control plane may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to circumstances beyond our control. During control plane outages, agents continue operating with their last known desired state.
Enterprise plans include a Service Level Agreement (SLA) with uptime commitments and remedies.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RackPlane shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
You may cancel your account at any time from the dashboard settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, with notice except in cases of severe violations. Upon termination, your data will be retained for 30 days to allow export, then permanently deleted.
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the dashboard at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
